In some cases it is best to talk to the student to ask them what works best for them. In some cases the students already have done trial and error to find out what is easiest for them and there would be no need to try all of the unsuccessful strategies again. I need to ensure that there is no bullying or teasing going on in my classroom. If a students is worrying about their safety or is not completely comfortable in my room they will not be focused on the task at hand and that will inhibit the learning process. Tuesday, May 5, 2009. As with most students with disabilities, the classroom accommodations for students with orthopedic impairments will vary dependent on the individual needs of the student. Since many students with orthopedic impairments have no cognitive impairments, I collaborate with the special educator to include the student in the general curriculum as much as possible.
